Claims Representative Job Description
Support multiple functions required by the Lender Placed Hazard line of business. Engages in process of preparing and setting up claims for handling, contacting borrowers, clients, and clients’ representatives. Supports various processes required by the Lender’s Place products such as evaluation of claims of up to moderate complexity, which would include using one’s intellect to interpret policy provisions and apply the policy language to individual claim losses, prepare letters regarding claim file status, review spreadsheet data and effect required actions as instructed by Management Team (vendor invoices, missing expense checks, over 60 day files, duplicate checks, and other special projects). Claims Representative Will also issues payments and extract data from claims system as required based on department need.
- Discerns important file facts and documents all pertinent issues associated with individual claim files.
- Analyzes a client’s issues and communicates effectively, within all levels of the organization, any and all proposed solutions.
- Claims Representative Seeks and implements resolutions for customers in individual claim files and overall insurance programs.
- Interprets and complies with all regulatory mandates within individual jurisdictions.
