Material Damage Adjuster II Primary Functions
As a Material Damage Adjuster II with the Columbus Branch Office, servicing the Columbus metropolitan area, you will appraise material damage claims and total losses as received by assignment. Material Damage Adjuster II will also negotiate settlement of claims and disposes of salvage.
Material Damage Adjuster II Skills and Abilities:
- Material Damage Adjuster II must be Good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Material Damage Adjuster II with Good verbal and written human activity skills.
- Ability to estimate damage on all types of motor vehicles.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Material Damage Adjuster II Qualifications:
- The Material Damage Adjuster II will work from home servicing and ideally residing in the Columbus metropolitan area.
- Use of a company car is provided.
- Candidates meeting below minimum qualifications may be considered as a Material Damage Adjuster I (F08).
- Material Damage Adjuster II must High school diploma, or GED, required.
- Material Damage Adjuster II must be Five years experience in body shop or insurance claims adjusting, including estimate writing experience required.
- Experience with The ERIE preferred.
- Completion of General Insurance program preferred.
- functionary must live in territory assigned unless a change is approved by the company.
- Position requires the incumbent to serve on the Catastrophe Team, which may include travel on short notice to other locations for periods in excess of two weeks.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
Material Damage Adjuster II PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS (% of Time):
- Lifting: 0-20 lbs. Occasional (<20%) 20-50 lbs. Occasional (<20%) Over 50 lbs. Occasional (<20%)
- Driving: Frequent (50-80%)
- Pushing/Pulling: Occasional (<20%)
- Manual Keying/Data Entry: Occasional (<20%)
