Life Insurance Sales Manager Job Description
Operating within the core values and operating principles for the organization, the Life Insurance Sales Manager develops a sales culture that is conducive to meeting life insurance sales and member experience goals with profitable, compliant sales in a sales center environment. Life Insurance Sales Manager Responsible for all production related activities, including, but not limited to, meeting all sales quotas, operating efficiencies, compliance with policy and procedure along with performance development of all life insurance staff.
Life Insurance Sales Manager Essential Functions:
- Oversee all sales related functions of licensed life insurance agents. (15%)
- Develop and implement organizational strategies to establish efficiencies, which translate in increased revenue and cost containment. Manage staff and activities within budget expectations. (15%)
- Life Insurance Sales Manager Provide a strong team environment that is conducive to developing and maintaining highly motivated and productive sales agents. (10%)
- Ensure all agents are appropriately trained to provide expert life and annuity product recommendations to customers. (10%)
- Ensure all agents are properly trained to provide outstanding member experience that meets or exceeds AAA clubs’ goals. (10%)
- Life Insurance Sales Manager Motivate, coach and develop sales managers to achieve and exceed sales targets through continuous improvement in all aspects of agent’s performance including prospecting and selling skills, product knowledge, and time management and processing their business using the appropriate tools and systems. (10%)
- Life Insurance Sales Manager Analyze performance metrics of sales units and individuals and design and implement action plans to address deficiencies and maximize opportunities for improvement. (5%)
Life Insurance Sales Manager Other Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facilitate team meetings designed to motivate and create energy towards goal achievement. (5%)
- In conjunction with the HR team, manage the recruitment process for attracting new agents. (5%)
- Life Insurance Sales Manager Collaborate with peer department Managers in translating organizational objectives into successful initiatives. (5%)
- Ensure communications and coordination with AAA Life, our primary Life Insurance Company partner, is maintained at the highest level ensuring our delivery tour member insureds is professional and consistent with industry best practices. (5%)
- Perform other job related duties as assigned or required. (5%)
Life Insurance Sales Manager Job Requirements
- Ability to lead and influence a team of sales agents to successful goal completion to the level normally acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Administration, Marketing, or Management or equivalent work experience.
- Life Insurance Sales Manager have a minimum 8 years experience in the Life Insurance Industry in a management role with responsibility for sales, recruiting and training agents; supervisory experience in a call center environment a plus.
- Experience in the development and implementation of sales strategies, motivational and incentive programs and marketing principles and their applications
- Familiarity with traditional, interest-sensitive and equity life insurance products
- Licensed Insurance Agent (life, health) able to be appointed in various states required
- Strong PC skills
- Exposure to or experience with basic P&L principles
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving, analytical thinking and prioritization
- Life Insurance Sales Manager Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written and presentation
- Ability to work outside conventional hours of operations, including weekends
