Property Adjuster Job Description

As a Property Adjuster with the Raleigh Branch Office, servicing Orange and Durham Counties, you will exercise independent discretion or judgment in handling all types of property claims. You will also assist or act on behalf of the claims supervisor when required. The Property Adjuster will work from home ideally residing in Orange or Durham County. You will service Orange, Durham and surrounding counties. Use of a company car is provided.
Property Adjuster Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service orientation, strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, the physical ability and willingness to climb onto roofs and to lift and climb ladders, the willingness to work in inclement weather, the willingness to work in undesirable indoor environments (e.g., houses exposed to flooding, fires), and the ability to work in confined spaces.
Property Adjuster Qualifications:
- Five years property claims adjusting experience and demonstrated proficiency with estimating software is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program is preferred.
- NC Appraisers License as required by state and a valid driver’s license is required. ??
